One of the keys to a well-run classroom is planning and management. I have worked hard to create thorough lesson plans and unit plans to ensure that my students get the most out of their time in my classroom. Another important aspect of a positive and productive classroom is effective classroom management. I have put a lot of thought into the way I want my classroom to be run. Below I have included some work that I completed while earning my master's degree. I wanted to include projects that highlight some of my technology skills as well as my thoughts on planning and classroom management.
Lesson Plans and Unit Plans
This is an in-depth first grade mathematics unit plan that I created. It is aligned with the Common Core Standards. It includes a pre-assessment, formative and summative assessments, differentiation strategies, numerous lesson plans and a reflection and analysis section.
This is a first grade Social Studies unit plan about maps that I created. It includes a family letter, big ideas, key concepts, goals, objectives, ten lesson plans, assessments and reflections.
This is a first grade science lesson plan about Earth materials. I included options for differentiation to meet the needs of all learners in my class.
This is an inquiry plan that I created to address the problem of students getting out of their seats during independent work time. I created a plan and a method for gathering data.
Classroom Management
This is an in depth literacy analysis of a second grade child. I conducted pre-assessment and created three extensive lessons that focused on this child’s literacy needs. I conducted progress-monitoring assessments and implemented a post assessment. I also reflected on my findings and made suggestions on future activities that could help this learner.
This is a website I created about conflict resolution strategies. It includes a problem statement, facts and data, implications, a summary and resources for additional information.
This is a PowerPoint I created to explain my classroom management plan. It is a detailed description of how I want to set up my classroom this year. I included a voice over to give more information with each slide.
This is a link to a website that I helped create about Positive Behavior Supports. It included a definition, links for more information and numerous assistive technologies that can be used in the classroom.
